The NJPW Strong Style Evolved event in Long Beach, California saw AEW stars Jack Perry and International Champion Konosuke Takeshita join forces against the Los Ingobernables de Japon pairing of Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji.
After the match, which saw Perry pin Tsuji, chaos ensued between LIJ and the AEW talents before the Young Bucks made a surprise appearance by blindsiding Hiromu Takahashi with a superkick followed by an EVP Trigger.
Despite the arrival of the former AEW World Tag Team Champions to aid their Elite compatriot, Perry did not appear to be thrilled to see the Bucks as he walked past them before heading to the back.
The Young Bucks, who have not been on AEW programming since declaring they would “work remotely from home” after their loss to Private Party at Fright Night Dynamite (and a ringside attack by the Death Riders to close the show), look to challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Championship at the upcoming Wrestle Dynasty show on 1/5 from the Tokyo Dome, when they face Great-O-Khan and a mystery partner.
