MAPLE LEAF PRO Wrestling that AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita will be in non-title action on night one of their launch event, Forged in Excellence.
The match against Bailey was announced prior to AEW WrestleDream, when Takeshita defeated Will Ospreay and Ricochet in a three-way match for the title.
Bailey is the current TNA X-Division Champion, defeating Zachary Wentz for the title at Victory Road last month.
Takeshita will defend his championship on night two against former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander.
