AEW’s Chris Jericho as the Lionheart Character, made a surprise appearance at the CMLL show Friday night which took place at Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.
Jericho, who wore a mask attacked Mistico with the Codebreaker and Judas Effect. Jericho then unmasked and issued a challenge to Mistico at the CMLL Arena Mexico event which is scheduled for July 5. Mistico accepted the challenge.
“The Learning Tree” Jericho, “The Redwood” Big Bill, and a mystery partner will face Katsuyori Shibata, Samoa Joe, and Hook at Sunday’s Forbidden Door main card.
Mistico, Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix will take on Yota Tsuji, Titan, and Hiromu Takahashi on the Forbidden Door Zero Hour pre-show.
At the same event, Atlantis Jr. defeated Kyle Fletcher to win the ROH World Television Championship.
Atlantis Jr is the current NWA World Historic Light Heavyweight Champion, and one-third of the CMLL World Trios Champions.
