According to Andrew Zarian on the very first episode of Beyond the Bell podcast on Fightful, the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV set for this June will no longer be held at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
Fightful Select further reports that NJPW does not want to split the costs with AEW when it comes to holding Forbidden Door at the venue is the reason for the change.
Rocky Romero, who is signed to NJPW and is also a talent and part of the front office of AEW, says the reports are not true. At the time of this writing, there has been posts on X that appear to have since been deleted.
