Jimmy Jacobs says ‘writing television’ is not part of AEW role

In an interview with Developmentally Speaking, Jimmy Jacobs talked about his role in AEW and clarified what he does and doesn’t do for the company:

“Mostly what I do is I format the shows and I organize information and communicate. It was never supposed to be like a creative role. Like I said, I was burnt out at Impact, I was burnt out writing wrestling television every week.

My job at AEW really doesn’t involve me writing wrestling television. It’s far more admin.”

Jacobs joined the company in June 2023, following a five-year stint on the creative team for IMPACT Wrestling and a two-year stint in WWE.
