During a recent appearance on AdFreeShows.com, ROH World Champion and NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston revealed that he has signed a new deal that will keep him in AEW four more years.
The 41-year old Kingston made his debut on July 16, 2020 episode of AEW Dynamite, when he challenged Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship. Two weeks later AEW announced that Kingston was All Elite.
Kingston is scheduled to defend the ROH World Championship and the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship against Katsuyori Shibata at this coming Sunday’s AEW WrestleDream PPV at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA.
He recently announced that due to a back injury and wanting to stay physically healthy enough for AEW and NJPW shows, he has pulled out of doing all independent wrestling dates for the foreseeable future.
