Backstage notes from AEW Dynamite; plans for upcoming episodes of Rampage and Collision

The following are backstage notes from AEW Dynamite and plans for upcoming episodes of Rampage and Collision, courtesy of PWInsider.

Keith Lee was backstage Wednesday night at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

There were a number of talents and personnel from Coastal Championship Wrestling backstage.

There was a pitch for QT Marshall to appear on AEW television with the AAA Latin American Championship. Marshall won the title back at Triplemania last weekend.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch was something that Warner Bros Discovery brought into AEW.  There was apparently discussion of the match being cinematic before the decision was made to make it a live match.  AEW shifted plans for this week’s TV in order to accommodate WBD.  It was said that WBD really likes the crossover viewership AEW brings for outside promotional endeavors, such as this and Shark Week. WBD does want to do more crossover.

It is being said that Ring of Honor was taped last after Dynamite so AEW could get ahead with the logistics of traveling to the United Kingdom for All In. The word is that AEW will taking the August 25 episode Rampage after this Saturday night’s live Collision at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY.

AEW will tape the August 26 Collision All In go-home show this Wednesday night at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA after Dynamite goes off the air. This would mean that the entire locker room, including CM Punk and The Elite will be under one roof.
