AEW stars reportedly sent home from Collision

After a recently reported incident of Hangman Page being turned away from the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday, Dave Meltzer has indicated that there have been even further issues between talent backstage leading to people being sent home.

Speaking on the matter on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that Matt Hardy and Christopher Daniels have faced similar situations, also confirming a report from Fightful Select about Ryan Nemeth being sent home from recent shows as well.

While not explicitly confirmed by Meltzer, he did address the common factor of these incidents possibly being CM Punk, the former AEW World Champion addressing Page in an off-air promo on Saturday that only added fuel to the potential fire:

“Everyone believes that it’s Punk. I’m sure that Tony [Khan] will say it’s not Punk, just like he did before.”

The issues between Punk and Nemeth appear to stem from a response Nemeth made on Twitter regarding Punk’s return promo on the premiere of AEW Collision, which led to a confrontation between the two backstage.

In a similar fashion, the involvement of Daniels in the altercation after AEW All Out has been reported by Nick Hausman as being a factor in Daniels being sent home, though it is less clear what issues Punk may have with Hardy.
