Rey Fenix posted a video on Instagram, revealing (courtesy of a quick translation from LuchaBlog on Twitter) that he was vacating the AAA Latin American and Cruiserweight Championships…and that he was ‘done wrestling in AAA for now’ due to commitments with other promotions.
Luchablog further noted that Fenix had won the titles in June 2022, and never defended either title prior to this announcement, which can be seen below via his profile on Instagram.
Fenix, who has been quite busy in AEW and ROH among other promotions, was last seen in action on the 6/21 edition of ROH on HonorClub, teaming with Penta El Zero Miedo, Komander, and El Hijo del Vikingo in an eight-man tag team match against Gringo Loco, Shane Taylor, and the Workhorsemen of Anthony Henry and JD Drake.
