According to a report from Fightful Select, EJ Nduka (former NXT Superstar Ezra Judge) has signed with All Elite Wrestling and has been under contract with the company for the past several months.
The report also notes Nduka signed with AEW sometime after he made his debut with the company back on the February 7 episode of Dark, where he lost to Konsuke Takeshita. The match was taped at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida on January 28.
Fightful Select further stated that AEW was reportedly said to be “immediately interested” in Nduka after his debut match. It is not known what kind of contract he signed with AEW. His match against Takeshita is his only match so far he has had with the company.
Nduka became a free agent at the beginning of 2023 after he let his MLW contract expire, after being with promotion since 2021. Prior to MLW, he was part of WWE’s developmental system from August 2019 until his release on May 19, 2021. He wrestled only two matches during his time in WWE as Ezra Judge.
Fightful Select concluded by saying that WWE was interested in re-hiring Nduka, but after the WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Operations and Strategy James Kimball was fired from the company, it was said that a lot of the independent wrestlers Kimball made notes about, were never followed up on. Kimball terminated due to a Human Resources violation. Nduka also was said to have had interest from promotions in Mexico and Japan.
