Real-life married couple and AEW stars Sammy Guevara and Tey Melo recently spoke with TMZ Sports about their pregnancy reveal done at last months Double or Nothing PPV.
Guevara said that he was more nervous for the pregnancy reveal than he was for the AEW title match. Guevara also noted that he was filled with emotions, both wich was due to the title match and the exciting news he knew he was going to share with the fans in the arena and watching on pay-per-view.
“I was personally more excited for the entrance. I feel like we were like opposite. She was more nervous for me for the match, and I was more nervous, excited for the entrance. I had to snap out of it. I almost started crying. It was just very surreal. Us four young guys, wrestling for the world title and then right before that, going out there and announcing we’re having a baby.”
Guevara also said the fans are starting to come back around on him again and that he and Try were not always the most loved people. He then said the big reaction they got and for everyone to show their support was overwhelming.
“The crowd’s coming back around on me. We were not always the most loved people out there. For them to give us that big reaction. Everyone’s happy, showing us the love. It was just like, overwhelming in a way where I was like, ok, we gotta get back into it.”
Melo added that her intent to travel with Guevara while she is unable to compete and hopes to be back in action as soon as she can after the baby is born.
