According to F4WOnline and PWInsider, current ROH Tag Team Champion Rey Fenix is taking some time off to heal up from injuries.
Both reports indicate that Fenix is “banged up”, with no timeframe for his return. It is being said that the issue could be his hip.
It was noted by F4WOnline and PWInsider, Fenix’s hiatus began after the Lucha Brothers’ successful title defense against Powerhouse Hobbs & QT Marshall at the special live AEW Battle of the Belts IV back on April 7.
F4WOnline did confirm a report by PWInsider last week that stated Fenix appeared to be hurt following the match. He did not appear at last weekend’s AAA TripleMania.
Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo captured the ROH Tag Team Championships at the March 31 ROH Supercard of Honor PPV in a Reach For The Sky Ladder Match.
