At the conclusion of the most recent edition of the FTR with Dax podcast, the AEW Tag Team Champion himself made the announcement that the show would be ending effective immediately.
Speaking on the situation that led to this decision, Harwood stated:
“I think we both feel we were causing more harm than good even though we were trying to do good. It just didn’t come across that way or portray it that way. We were more of a detriment to professional wrestling than we thought and never wanted to do that.”
Harwood has not ruled out a return to podcasting somewhere down the line, saying he loved the experience and what it meant for fans.
Co-host Koon also clarified that there was no pressure from AEW or “trolls” or media that led to the decision. This came after concerns of the backlash the podcast had received at times, backlash that Harwood also addressed during this particular podcast.
The show was first announced last December, featuring Harwood and Koon talking about the career of FTR, current wrestling events, and more focused topics such as CM Punk and The Young Bucks.
