AEW star Eddie Kingston is dealing with an undisclosed injury.
On Saturday, Seattle based DEFY Wrestling announced Kingston would not appear at their event at Washington Hall, against Artemis Spencer as scheduled.
According to F4WOnline, it is not clear how Kingston was injured, since he did not appear live in person on this past Wednesday’s Dynamite or Friday’s Rampage.
Kingston has been involved in a storyline with Ortiz and the House of Black. Kingston and Ortiz have seemingly split up as a team, after the two lost to Malakai Black & Brody King on the January 13 episode of Rampage. Then the following week, on the January 20 episode of Rampage, Kingston laid Ortiz out with a chair after the two had an in-ring confrontation.
During this past Friday’s episode of Rampage, Kingston cut a pre-recorded promo, challenging Ortiz to a match.
Kingston is still scheduled to square off against Jay White at the NJPW Strong Battle in the Valley event next Saturday at the San Jose Civic in San Jose, CA. Kingston posted a clip to his Twitter from @Drainmaker with he and Jay White, responding to it by indicating that he plans on attending the event.
