AEW Quick Results and Highlights – 4/29/22 (ROH World TV Title Match, More!)

Below are quick results with some highlights from Friday night’s AEW Rampage that aired on TNT.

-Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Qualifying Match: Darby Allin defeated Swerve Strickland

There was a backstage segment with Shawn Spears who said that he is no longer watching Wardlow’s back and that he is on his own. Spears then said Wardlow’s opponent for this Wednesday on Dynamite is 7 feet tall.

Santana and Ortiz attacked Chris Jericho as he was doing commentary. Security came out. Jericho vs Santana was announced for next week’s Dynamite.

-Jade Cargill, Kiera Hogan, and Red Velvet defeated Skye Blue, Willow Nightingale, and Trish Adora

-Keith Lee defeated Colten Gunn

The Hardys and Bobby Fish were interviewed promoting their match on Dynamite, Matt said that Jeff is going to beat Bobby Fish. Adam Cole said after next week three members will be featured in the Owen Hart foundation tournament. Bobby Fish then called Jeff “Jeff Hardly”

Danhausen then came out. He said he is here to take out Hook, who then came out. Danhausen said they should do it another time, but Hook wants to do it now, Smart Mark Sterling came out and said no one wants to see them fight.Tony Nese then attacked them both from behind. Hook hit a suplex on Tony Nese as Danhausen “cursed” Nese and Sterling. Danhausen then went to shake Hook’s hand, but Hook pushed him away and left the ring.

Colten and Austin Gunn were interviewed backstage. Austin said they don’t consider it a loss because he went toe-to-toe with Keith Lee, The Acclaimed interrupted and said that everyone loves them and when they team up they never lose. Colten and Austin said they have to go “talk to daddy” about teaming up with them.

There was a video package hyping up Mercedes Martinez vs Deonna Purrazzo for the ROH women’s title next week on Dynamite.

-ROH World Television Championship: Samoa Joe (c) defeated Trent Beretta

Post Match: Tony Schiavone interviewed Joe but he was interrupted by Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh. Orange Cassidy then stood up to Singh, as Joe and Lethal brawled in the ring. They were separated by referees to close the show.
