After last night’s AEW Rampage: Grand Slam went off the air on TNT, Eddie Kingston took to the mic and stated that “New York is now AEW’s town”.
Kingston said that AEW became the first company to host a professional wrestling show at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, NY.
“Before certain people got here we sold this mother out…and we put our flag down in New York in dirt. But with those people that just joined us, we’ve retook our flag and put it in cement. New York is now AEW’s town!”
In his speech, Kingston was referring to Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson, and the surprise appearance of former TNA/IMPACT and ROH star Homicide at the end of the Light Outs Match to help out Kingston and Moxley.
