New AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has challenged Joey Janela on this Wednesday’s live episode of Dynamite on TNT.
The AEW camera crew caught up Omega at the airport on yesterday.
Omega said in the clip, which you can see below, that he decided to search his name on social media and saw how many haters and doubters there were out there.
The match will be a Title Eliminator No Disqualification – Anything Goes Match. If Janela defeats Omega, then he will receive a future AEW Championship Match.
Omega’s original first-round opponent in the Title Eliminator Tournament was supposed to be Joey Janela. However, Janela was pulled last minute due to COVID-19 health concerns. Sonny Kiss was replaced in the match, and quickly defeated by Omega.
IMPACT Executive Vice President will be in the corner of Omega, while Sonny Kiss will in Janela’s corner.
