Matt Jackson suffering from torn MCL and ACL

AEW Executive Vice President Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks took to Twitter earlier today to indicate he is medically cleared to complete at this Saturday’s Full Gear PPV.

Several media outlets, and as first reported by F4WOnline were reporting today that Jackson is currently dealing with a partially torn MCL and thinning of the ACL, which is  considered a slight tear.

It is being said that Jackson suffered the injury during the Falls Count Anywhere match between The Young Bucks and The Butcher & The Blade in the main event of the July 22 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The injury is said to have occurred at the end of the match when The Young Bucks hit their flying elbow drops from the top of the stage and who were on top of tables. The table leg jammed up on Jackson’s knee when he delivered his elbow drop to The Butcher.

The Young Bucks will challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Titles at this Saturday’s Full Gear PPV.  If the Bucks lose, then they will never challenge for the championships ever again.

FTR’s manager Tully Blanchard is also banned from ringside for the title match.
