AEW President and CEO Tony Khan announced Wednesday night that the NWA Women’s Championship will be defended on the Full Gear pay-per-view Buy-In Show this Saturday.
New crowned NWA Women’s Champion Sarena Deeb will defend the title against former champion Allysin Kay.
Kay held the NWA Women’s Championship from April 27, 2019 to January 24, 2020, losing to Thunder-Rosa at the Hard Times pay-per-view.
Kay announced on Twitter this week that she’s now a free agent. She wrote the following:
”As of today, I am officially a free agent. Thank you to the NWA for the opportunities, which included one of my favorite matches of my career. I am open for indy bookings & appearances. Let’s get weird. AK”
Deeb won the NWA Women’s Championship from Thunder Rosa on last week’s edition of the weekly PPV UWN Primetime Live.
Orange Cassidy vs. John Silver was originally schedule to take place on The Buy-In Pre-Show. However, Tony Khan announced that match has been moved to the Full Gear PPV main card.
