Penta El Zero M will be replacing Rey Fenix in the semifinals of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament.
Fenix suffered an injury this past Wednesday on Dynamite during a Round One match against his his brother, Penta. After attempting a twisting head-scissor move, Fenix appeared to land on his neck and shoulder.
The severity of the injury is unknown, but it was enough to remove him from the match. F4WOnline reports that Fenix is feeling “sore.”
AEW posted a video announcing the move with Eddie Kingston telling Fenix he has to give the shot to his brother. Kingston will face Jon Moxley in an I Quit Match for the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear in November.
