All Elite Wrestling has had multiple talents appearing at their tapings test positive for COVID-19.
According to a joint report by Fightful and Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360, multiple talents present at the September 9 Dynamite tapings have tested positive for COVID-19 in the weeks since. It is unclear is the tests were administered separately or at the tapings.
A number of other talents have fallen ill or begun showing symptoms, but it is not known if they have tested positive.
Some of the talent affected were brought in for the AEW Dark taping. As they are unsigned talent, they can take independent wrestling bookings, though they are tested upon arriving at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
The report does not name anyone who has tested positive, but both Lance Archer and Ben Carter have announced they are battling COVID-19. Numerous talent were not in attendance at the September 24 tapings.
Jon Alba also states that the talent left off the tapings aren’t necessarily positive COVID-19 cases, but could be held off the show as a precaution.
Over the last few months, #AEW has by far had the most extensive COVID-19 protocols among any wrestling companies that chose to run during the pandemic. The conditions of how or where the virus was transmitted is not entirely clear at this time. Hoping everyone affected is OK.

It’s entirely plausible talent were kept off this week’s show for precautionary reasons, and didn’t necessarily test positive.
But we can report there were multiple positive cases in the past couple of weeks involving talent who were present at tapings earlier this month. #AEW
