AEW announced on Twitter that Rachael Ellering, who most recently worked as Rachael Evers in WWE NXT, will make her AEW debut on this coming Tuesday’s episode of Dark, taking on Penelope Ford.
In January 2019 Ellering signed with WWE and shortly thereafter began appearing at WWE NXT events under her real name. On July 28, 2019, Ellering suffered a torn ACL at an NXT live event which sidelined her for over a year.
On May 13, 2020, Ellering confirmed she released from her WWE contract along with several other superstars due to financial cutbacks from the COVID-19 pandemic.
