AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for August 5, 2020 are now in.
AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 901,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by showbuzzdaily.com.
This is up from last week’s show that drew an average of 773,000 viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 5 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 6 where they placed last week.
This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 753,000 viewers on Wednesday night.
This is up from last week’s show that averaged 707,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 27 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 28 where the show placed last week.
In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the thirty-first head-to-head battle of 2020 in the “Wednesday Night War” by 148,000 viewers.

WWE NXT, headlined by an NXT Tag Team Title Match, averaged a 0.20 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from the 0.18 rating they had last week.
AEW Dynamite, headlined by an AEW Championsip Match, averaged a 0.36 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from the 0.30 rating they had last week.
