AEW stars Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford took to Instagram Saturday (view below) to announce their engagement.
Sabian wrote on his post, “All ‘Characters’ and Gimmicks aside. I woke up knowing what today was. Not only is it our anniversary, but it was the day that I was going to ask @the_penelopeford to marry me & she had no idea. After tricking her into a ‘family photo for my parents’ on a timer (actually a video) we went to our favorite place to ‘take it.’ Bringing Oscar for the ride. She said yes!”
Ford wrote on her post, “WE’RE ENGAGED! I was so confused why he was on his knee when we were taking a picture for his parents to frame. This has been the happiest moment in my life and we had our puppy there with us. I’m still so shocked! Happy anniversary to MY FIANCÉ! Here’s to so many more. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! AHH! I get to marry my best friend!”
Prior to signing with AEW, Sabian began his professional wrestling career with the World Association of Wrestling after graduating from the promotion’s wrestling school.
Sabian has also competed throughout England and Europe, capturing various titles, including the IPW:UK World Championship and World Of Sport Wrestling Tag Team Championship.
He also worked for Ring of Honor in 2018. He made his debut with AEW at last year’s Double or Nothing pay-per view.
Ford worked for Combat Zone Wrestling from 2014 to 2018. After leaving CZW, she appeared for GTS Wrestling in 2018.
AEW announced on January 8, 2019 Ford has signed with the company.
Ford serves as Sabian’s manager in current AEW storylines.
