AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for January 8, 2020 are now in.
AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 947,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.
This is down from last week’s show that drew an average of 967,000 viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 6 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 13 where they placed last week.
This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 721,000 viewers on Wednesday night.
This is up from last week’s show that averaged 548,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 55 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 66 where they placed last week. This is the second time in a row they have placed outside the Top 50.
In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the second head-to-head battle of 2020 in the so-called “Wednesday Night War” by 226,000 viewers.
Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT
NXT, which featured a Fatal 4-Way Match, averaged a 0.19 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from last week’s 0.15 rating.
AEW Dynamite, headlined by Jon Moxley’s decision, averaged a 0.36 rating among adults 18-49. This is the same rating they had last week.
