AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT Ratings: Viewership falls below 1 million for both shows

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for October 23, 2019 are now in.

AEW Dynamite, the fourth episode to go head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 963 thousand viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is down from last week’s show that drew an average of 1.014 million viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 4 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 5 where they placed last week.

This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 698 thousand viewers on Wednesday night.

This is down from last week’s show that averaged 712 thousand viewers. NXT came in at No. 21 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 30 where they placed last week.

It should be noted that both shows went against Game Two of the MLB World Series, which drew 11.925 million viewers and a 2.9 rating among adults 18-49.

In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the head-to-head battle of the so-called “Wednesday Night War” by 265,000 viewers.

Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

NXT, headlined by the turning of Finn Balor, averaged a 0.21 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from last week’s 0.20 rating.

AEW Dynamite, headlined by Jon Moxley vs. PAC, averaged a 0.45 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from last week’s 0.44 rating.
