TNT Championship
Darby Allin (c) (1-0) vs. “Bad Boy” Joey Janela (2-0)
Excalibur discusses Allin and Janela’s history against one another on the independents as they come to the ring. Janela and Allin start things off with some mat wrestling but quickly devolves into a brawl as Janela decks Allin with an Uppercut in the corner. Allin responds with a Springboard Lucha Armdrag followed by a Shotgun Dropkick that causes Janela to fall through the ropes onto the apron.
Allin attempts a Suplex off the apron but Janela counters into a Front Suplex onto the apron. Janela follows up with a Tope Suicida and then rolls Allin back in the ring for two. Janela decides to ground Allin and work over his back and arm. He puts Allin in a Hammerlock combined with a Fish Hook and Bodyscissors at the same time. Janela dives off the top with a Flying Axe Handle but when he goes back up top Allin shoves him off causing Janela to be clotheslined on the top rope.
Allin hits a Shotgun Dropkick sending Janela crashing into the corner. Janela retreats to the apron but ALlin grabs him and starts slamming his arm across the top rope causing Janela to crash to the floor. Allin hits a Heat Seeking Missile under the middle rope onto Janela sending him crashing into the barricade. Allin rolls Janela back in the ring and gets a nearfall before locking him in a Fujiwara Armbar.
Janela manages to get to the ropes and bites them to break the hold but Allin actually kicks the bottom rope into Janela’s face. Allin goes for a Springboard Coffin Drop but Janela catches him in midair with a German Suplex followed by a Superkick for two. Janela gets distracted by looking down at the TNT Title, which allows Allin to gain his composure and connect with a series of strikes.
Allin hits a Flipping Stunner for two and then the two exchange nearfalls with backslides and rollups. Janela ends the sequence with Spike Piledriver for a nearfall. Janela lifts Allin up to the top rope and attempts a Superplex but Allin elbows Janela’s injured arm and hits a Super Code Red off the top for a close two. Allin hits a Hammerlock STO and then the Coffin Drop for the pin.
Winner & STILL TNT Champ: Allin via pinfall (Coffin Drop)
Excalibur points out that Team Taz threatened to interfere but never showed up.
Footage of KENTA attacking Moxley last week is shown as Excalibur explains that KENTA is a New Japan star and is the No. 1 contender to Moxley’s IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Title.
Backstage Jon Moxley says that KENTA has been calling him out for months from across an ocean. He says that KENTA finally realized that cheap talk is finally over and if he wants the title – which he lifts up over his shoulder – he’s going to have to take it from him. Moxley says that when they face each other on Feb. 26 he is going to dump KENTA on his head but tonight is unsanctioned and tonight will be “just for fun.”
Sammy Geuvara drags a camera man into the Inner Circle locker room and tells the other guys he needs some time alone with him and MJF agrees. Sammy tells MJF he knows that he is trying to take over the Inner Circle but MJF says he thought that Sammy was just being petty and jealous of the fact that Jericho favors him over Sammy now. MJF says that he believes now that it’s not just jealousy but the truth is Sammy hates Jericho because he feels like he should be Inner Circle’s front man and he is the one that really wants to take over the group. Sammy mockingly says, “yeah, I want to take over the Inner Circle is that what you wanted to hear” and MJF starts laughing revealing he was recording Sammy on his phone. Sammy snatches the phone and breaks it before hitting MJF.
As the Nightmare Family come to the ring Brock Anderson – Arn’s son – is shown at ringside and Excalibur reveals that he is training to wrestle.
The Nightmare Family (Lee Johnson & Cody Rhodes) (0-0 as team) w/Arn Anderson vs. Cezar Bononi & “Pretty” Peter Avalon (1-0 as team)
Johnson shows off his athleticism early on with some dropkicks and high spots. The bigger Bononi goes for a Powerbomb but Johnson blocks it and tags in Cody, who hits a big Running Clothesline. Bononi hits a Pump Handle Suplex on Cody before we head to break.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Cody catches a diving Avalon and hits a Rack Breaker but his arm was injured during the break. Johnson tags in and hit a series of clotheslines and a Leaping Neckbreaker on Avalon. Johnson knocks Bononi to the outside and then hits an inside Corkscrew Plancha onto Bononi on the floor. Johnson hits a Fisherman’s Breaker on Avalon for a nearfall but Bononi breaks it up.
Bononi tosses Cody to the floor and then hits Johnson with a Press Slam. Cody pulls Bononi outside and Johnson ducks Avalon’s finish and rolls him up for the pin. That was Johnson’s first win in AEW.
Winners: Nightmare Family via pinfall (rollup)
The rest of the Nightmare Family comes out to celebrate with Johnson getting his first win. Tony Schiavone asks Johnson about finally getting a win but Johnson says he doesn’t have many words for him. He mentions that he was 0-29 before tonight and says that his trainers showed him that if he does the work it eventually pays off. He says the Rhodes Family is his family and they did this for him.
Backstage, the Bucks are approached by the Good Brothers and they argue about the Battle Royal last week. Matt calls them idiots and says if they won they were going to pick the Good Brothers to be their opponents. Gallows says they didn’t mean to mess them up and their real heat needs to be with the Inner Circle and talks about MJF and Jericho taunting them. Matt says they don’t want to wait until the PPV to defend their titles and challenges PNP and says they will put the titles on the line. Good Brothers offer a ‘too sweet’ but Matt says they will do it off camera only for Nick to accept it.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Backstage Adam Page once again reiterates he isn’t going to form a team with Matt Hardy, but Hardy interrupts him and says that they are special together. Matt asks Page to at least let him take Page out and party. He says the drinks are on him and Page enthusiastically accepts. The Dark Order and Page run into each other and awkwardly say they were both just going the other way.
“The Bastard” PAC (2-0) w/Rey Fenix vs. “The Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth (1-1)
PAC hits a Snap Suplex followed by a Flying Elbow in the corner. PAC goes to the top and hits a Missile Shotgun Dropkick sending Nemeth flying across the ring. PAC talks trash to Nemeth causing him to try and fight back with elbows only for PAC to obliterate him with a bunch of kicks.
Nemeth comes back with a dropkick and a Lifting DDT but PAC rolls to the floor to avoid a pin attempt. Nemeth charges at PAC but he moves and Nemeth slams into the barricade. Back in the ring, PAC puts the boots to Nemeth in the corner. He goes to the top and hits the Black Arrow before locking Nemeth in the Brutalizer for the submission.
Winner: PAC via submission (Brutalizer)
A highlight of the wedding ceremony from last week is shown. Miro says he is going to put Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy in the hospital next to Trent Barretta. OC sarcastically asks what they thought was going to happen and Taylor laughs before saying, “obviously… Orange Cassidy was going to pop out of a wedding cake.”
Chris Jericho apparently doesn’t know about MJF getting hit by Sammy. MJF walks up with his ribs taped and says Sammy sucker punched him and he thinks his ribs are broken.
The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho & MJF) (2-0) w/Wardlow vs. The Acclaimed (3-0)
The Acclaimed work over Jericho after MJF sells his ribs. Bowens hits a Slingshot Elbow Drop for two. MJF tags in finally but eats a Front Suplex from Bowens for two. MJF rakes Caster’s eyes after he tags in and then tags Jericho. They double team Caster in their corner and utilize quick tags. Jericho and MJF hit a Double Flapjack and then they both walk on Caster to taunt him.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
MJF has Caster in an Abdominal Stretch in the heel corner and Jericho pulls back on MJF’s arm for added leverage until the referee catches him and kicks his arm away allowing Caster to reverse the hold. Caster hits a Hip Toss as MJF tries to fight the hold. Caster and MJF both tag out and Bowens hits a series of shoulder blocks and strikes on MJF and Jericho.
Bowens hits a dropkick on Jericho and a spinning Rack Bomb on MJF. Ortiz gets on the apron but Caster hits him. Jericho lays Bowens out and goes for the Lionsault but Caster hits him with their boom box and Bowens gets a nearfall. Caster tags in and goes for the Claim To Fame but MJF lays Bowens out on the outside and Hager pushes Caster off the top right into a Judas Effect for the pin.
Winners: MJF & Jericho via pinfall (Judas Effect)
Sammy Guevara comes out after the match and Jericho asks him what is going on with MJF. Sammy says he told Jericho back in December that if one more thing happened with MJF he was done and so he’s out there to tell him he’s done. Jericho asks him what he means and Sammy says he’s quitting the Inner Circle. All the members – other than MJF – try to talk him out but he leaves the ring.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Alex Marvez approaches Guevara in the parking lot and Guevara says he needs time to refocus and time away from AEW.
Hardy and Page are shown drinking together but Hardy is actually pouring the drinks out, while Page downs his. Hardy says he could make Page the No. 1 wrestler in AEW and make him richer than his wildest dreams and hands him a contract. Page, who is slurring his words, and says he thinks Hardy is right and signs it.
*EDIT* Upon further review, Page actually switched the papers as Hardy was looking away.
Tony Schiavone welcomes Sting out but Team Taz is shown in their SUV on the big screen. They say they have a special passenger and it pans back to Darby Allin in a bodybag chained to the back of the truck. Taz drags him across the parking lot.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Earlier today, Alex Marvez approached Kenny Omega playing golf and Marvez asks him why he isn’t preparing for his match. Omega says that he has already proven to be the best of all time in wrestling and says he’s there clearing his mind and preparing spiritually. He says he has forgotten what it’s like to lose and he won’t lose playing golf or tonight. In the background Don Callis was putting Omega’s ball in the hole.
Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament First Round
“Legit” Leyla Hirsch (1-1) vs. Thunder Rosa (2-1)
Rosa and Hirsch show off some mat wrestling early on. Rosa hits a series of arm drags and a Senton Backsplash for two. Hirsch takes Rosa down with a waistlock and then puts her in a wristlock and leaps to the top for a Diving Rana. Rosa rolls to the floor and Hirsch hits a Tope Suicida onto Rosa on the floor. Hirsch goes for a second one but Rosa quickly rolled in the ring only for Hirsch to roll her up into a Cross Armbreaker!
Rosa breaks the hold but Hirsch backdrops him over the top. Rosa hits a Shoulder Lock through the ropes and hangs her up in the ropes with a Neckbreaker.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Rosa hits a Slingshot Knee Drop in the corner and then connects with a Shotgun Dropkick for two. Rosa is selling her arm. Hirsch hits a series of German Suplexes but Rosa shoves Hirsch into the corner as she went for a third one. Hirsch elbows Rosa and hits a Diving Cross Body off the top for two.
Hirsch goes up top for a Diving Moonsault but Rosa gets her knees up and covers Hirsch for two. Hirsch comes back with a series of Pump Knees and then goes back to the top but Rosa moves and hits a Sliding Dropkick for two. Rosa goes for a Michinoku Driver but Hirsch counters into the Cross Armbreaker! Rosa deadlifts Hirsch up and slams her to the mat. Rosa hits the Fire Thunder Driver for the pin.
Winner: Rosa via pinfall (Fire Thunder Driver)
The Japanese tournament matches will air on Monday on Youtube.
Jungle Boy says that he is going to make Dax Harwood his bitch.

Unsanctioned Falls Count Anywhere Match
KENTA & “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega w/Don Callis vs. “Death Rider” Jon Moxley & “MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer w/Jake Roberts
KENTA hits Moxley with his briefcase immediately but Archer goes after Omega. KENTA hits Archer with the briefcase but Archer shrugs it off only for Omega to chop block him. KENTA throws the briefcase at Archer and Omega hits him with a Kotarro Krusher. Omega and KENTA start stomping Moxley and then shove each other allowing Moxley to fight back.
Omega and KENTA get on the same page and beat Moxley down in the corner. They whip Omega into the opposite corner and hit a series of corner splashes. Archer destroys Omega with a Pounce as he was going for a V-Trigger. Moxley takes out KENTA with a clothesline. Archer and Moxley criss cross with splashes on the Bullet Club boys.
Archer goes for a Powerbomb on Omega but he counters with a Rana sending Archer to the floor. Moxley hits a Flying Knee on Omega sending him to the outside. KENTA and Moxley exchange strikes Japan style. KENTA goes for Go 2 Sleep but Moxley counters into a Paradigm Shift only for Omega to hit him with a trashcan.
Omega hits a Rolling Fireman’s Carry and then springs to the top and hits a Diving Moonsault with the trashcan on Moxley. Omega places the trashcan on Moxley and KENTA hits a Hesitation Dropkick sending the can into Moxley’s face. Omega gets the first nearfall of the match as Archer pulls a ladder out from under the ring. Archer hits Omega and KENTA with it and sets it up in the corner. Moxley hits a Tope Suicida onto KENTA on the floor and Archer hits a Suplex on Omega into the ladder.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
The fight has spilled out into the “crowd.” KENTA grabs Peter Avalon and hits him with a Go 2 Sleep just for existing. Archer Chokeslams Omega through Avalon’ s stupid heart shaped bed he watches the show from. Moxley sits KENTA in a chair and kills him with a Roundhouse Kick knocking him out of it for a nearfall.
KENTA and Moxley fight up the aisle way to second level and Archer follows. Moxley and KENTA are now fighting in the kitchen. Moxley slams KENTA into a fridge and lays him out on a counter. Moxley attempts a Piledriver on it but KENTA fights him off and DDTs him onto the damn counter!
KENTA puts Moxley in a Crossface but Archer hits him with a box of potatoes. Omega comes from behind and slams Archer into a stove. Moxley hits Omega with a potato that leads to this call from Schiavone: “he potatoed him!”
Moxley and Omega have brawled back down to ringside. Moxley and Omega exchange strikes until Moxley grabs a kendo stick and lays Omega out with it. Moxley rolls Omega in the ring and continues to brain him with the kendo stick. Moxley dives off the top but lands right into the V-Trigger! Archer and KENTA are fighting on the stage now.
Omega hits another V-Trigger sending Moxley falling back onto a table. Archer attempts to Powerbomb KENTA onto the announce table but KENTA fights him off and hits a Ghetto Stomp off the stage sending Moxley through the table beneath him!
Archer goes after Omega as he tries to hit Archer with a kendo stick. Archer breaks it in half but Omega takes out his knee. Omega goes for the Snap Dragon but Archer breaks it and hits a Chokeslam! Archer goes to the top with Omega in a wristlock and hits the New School Moonsault for a nearfall. Archer lifts Omega up to the top and goes for the Blackout but Omega blocks it and the Good Brothers run out.
Archer fights GB off and walks into a series of backfists from KENTA. Archer fights it off and hits a Big Boot on KENTA. Karl Anderson hits the Gun Stun on Archer! Roberts comes in and hits a clothesline on Anderson! Gallows clotheslines Roberts and then Omega goes for the V-Trigger on Roberts but Moxley lays him out with a barbed wire bat!
Moxley hits Good Brothers with the bat but KENTA slides in and hits the Go 2 Sleep on Moxley! Archer takes KENTA down and then goes for a Double Chokeslam but KENTA and Omega kick him in the nuts. Good Brothers grab Archer and hit the Magic Killer! Omega hits the V-Trigger on Archer and then the Good Brothers help Omega lift him up for the One Winged Angel and the pin.
Winners: KENTA & Omega via pinfall (One Winged Angel)
“The forbidden door as been kicked open,” Excalibur says.
