This is the final Collision of 2024 and the last Collision before Worlds End, which is live on pay-per-view Saturday, December 28.
We go right inside the Hammerstein Ballroom with Ian Riccaboni who has AJ and Big Justice in the ring, as they run down the card with a sold-out crowd. Christmas Collision is ready to go!
Will Ospreay’s music hits first as the fans give him a big ovation. Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to our first match of the night.
Rolls of toilet paper is being tosses at Ricochet as he hits the ring.
The music of Ricochet hits next as he makes his way to the ring to some boos.
As I have been fighting a head cold, here we go with the recap of the action for our first match of the night.
Continental Classic Gold League Match: Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet
The bell rings as this is going to be a wild match…we get holy s— chants and then Will Ospreay chants as he is the clear favorite tonight. Both men lock up as Ricochet tries to take down Will. Ricochet takes down Will, but he gets right back up. Both men lock up again, as Will puts Ricochet in an arm bar. Will takes down Ricochet and tries to pin him, but he kicks out at one!
Ricochet goes to the floor. We get Will Ospreay chants again from the wild New York fans. Ricochet gets back in the ring as he is booed. Both men lock up as Ricochet kicks and chops Ospreay…Both men run ropes as Ospreay takes down Ricochet. Ricochet slaps Will as he slaps him back.. Ricochet takes Ospreay down as Will is up and hits the ropes, but Ricochet catches him and sends him to the floor. Ricochet leaps over the ropes and lands on Will as Ricochet grabs some toilet paper, acts like he is wiping his butt and then puts in the face of Ospreay…
Picture-In-Picture: Both men are back in the ring as Ricochet covers Ospreay, but he kicks out at two. Ricochet chops Ospreay and sends him to the corner. Ospreay hits the mat as Ricochet covers him, but Opsreay kicks out at two. Ricochet has Ospreay locked up, as he fights out of the hold, but Ricochet drops him on the mat and then covers him, but Ospreay kicks out at two. Ricochet puts a chin lock on Ospreay as the ref checks on him…
Back from PIP: Ospreay is in the corner, as he Ospreay runs the ropes and takes down Ricochet. Ospreay is up on the top rope and leaps off, connecting on Ricochet with a big forearm. Ospreay covers Ricochet, but he kicks out at two. Ospreay chops Ricochet as he comes back with forearm shots…Ospreay tries a Styles Clash on Ricochet but he gets out of it…Ricochet then goes for a cartwheel as this time Ospreay hits a Styles Clash on Ricochet and covers him for a near fall! This we get a this is awesome chant. Ospreay attempts a hidden blade, but Ricochet rolls out of the way…both men are on the apron…Ospreay hit Ricochet with an elbow and the comes back and drops Ospreay with a death valley driver on Ospreay on the ring apron. Ricochet puts Ospreay back in the ring, as Ricochet connects with a 450 on Ospreay and covers him for only a two count…the fans chant Ospreay again. Ricochet charges at Ospreay, but ducks out of the way. Ospreay hits Ricochet with a stunner and then goes for a cutter, but Ricochet catches him and drops him…Ricochet goes for the spirit gun, but Ospreay counters with a hidden blade as both men are down…
The ref checks on both men as we get let’s go Ospreay chants…both men trash talk each other and make it to their feet in the center of the ring. Ricochet steps on the foot of Ospreay as we get both men exchanging blows. Ospreay is fired up! He connects with big elbows on Ricochet. Ricochet holds onto the ref as we get a ref bump…Ospreay picks up Ricochet and covers him as the fans count to 10, while the ref is still down. Ospreay goes tot the top but Ricochet pushes the ref into the ropes, sending Ospreay down. Ricochet connects with a spirit gun on Ospreay to get the win.

We go to a video package hyping up the Continental Classic Match between Darby Allin and Claudio Castagnoli, which is later tonight.
Adam Cole and MJF to go face-to-face
Up next is the music of Adam Cole as he makes his way out to and then down to the ring, as we get ready for this face-to-face. Cole hits the ring apron and does his signature boom! before entering the ring.
Cole has a mic and is looking at the entrance way…the music of MJF hits as we have his own private security coming down to the ring, MJF follows with mic in hand. He walks all the way around the ring…MJF calls for his music to stop…he tells the fans to sit down and shut up. He tells Cole that is a little bit…as the fans cut him off…MJF says that Cole turned on him…MJF tells Cole his more enemies to worry about, spray tan, crack in the floor, a cavity…because his dentist is not seeing him anymore…MJF tells the fans to shut up. MJF says that when he was the longest and greatest AEW champion of all time, Cole was his side kick and that Cole wanted the title, but had plenty of opportunities to win it before MJF…MJF then says like his ankle, he blew it…MJF tells the fans it is not that complicated. MJF says that he doesn’t believe the hogwash that MJF turned on him first…MJF says he is rich, funny and entertaining…he then says to Cole he used to be Adam Cole Bay Bay, but is now looking like a crack bay bay. Cole asks MJF if that is his last line and says to MJF that he practiced in front of the mirror…Cole then references the surgeries on his hair and then references being a politician to get his girlfriend hired…Cole says that in every wrestling company he has worked for, he has been the longest reigning champion…Cole says in this building he bleed buckets in a match against Kyle O’Reilly…Cole says MJF is mad because Cole turned on MJF better than him and he knows it…Cole says that he figured out that MJF is terrified to have anyone close to him and it scares him…Cole says that MJF was going to be the one to turn on him first, while MJF admits it…MJF says the truth at Worlds End 2023 he had every intention of stabbing him in the back, but Cole beat him to it. MJF says that he did start to care about someone else…however, that is when Cole became a liability and is a fragile little freak…there is no room for it…MJF says Cole doesn’t get it and he is not the devil, but this year at Worlds End, MJF says he ends Cole and then tosses the mic down. Cole questions MJF as Cole punches MJF…we get a pull apart, but Cole takes out MJF’s security. MJF then kicks Cole between the legs as he goes down…As Cole gets up, MJF goes to hit Cole, but Mike Bennett and Matt Taven run into make the save…
We go to a video package with Mercedes Mone’s winning the NJPW Strong Women’s Title and then retaining over Anna Jay on last week’s Dynamite.
We go to a backstage interview with Lexy Nair talking to Kris Statlander about making the save on Rampage with Willow Nightingale…Kris says she went on a downward spiral after she lost the TBS Title…Kris then challenges Mone’s for the TBS Title at Worlds End.

Back from the break, Lexy Nair is backstage talking to Orange Cassidy…Orange says that between now and Worlds End Jon Moxley can run and hide…when the bell rings in seven days, he will have nowhere to go and that Moxley needs to be taken out…
The music of Kris Statlander hits as she makes her way down to the ring. Next up, is the music of Penelope Ford as she makes her way out and down to the ring.
Penelope Ford vs. Kris Statlander
The bell rings as we are underway. Both women lock up as Kris pushes Ford in the corner…Ford runs the ropes and Kris knocks her down. Kris picks up Ford and holds her up in a standing vertical suplex. Ford fights out of it, but Kris holds on to Ford and drops Ford. Kris covers Ford for only a two count. Ford is up on the shoulders of Kris, as she climbs the ropes. Ford pushes Kris and then comes off the top and drops Kris on her back. Ford covers Statlander, but she kicks out at two. Ford stomps on Kris as she is down in the corner. Ford then leaps up over the ropes and lands two knees on Statlander…
Picture-In-Picture: Ford is on the outside, as Statlander rolls to the floor…Statlander tries to get back in the ring, but is dropped by Ford. Ford grabs Statlander and rolls her back in the ring. Ford covers Kris, but she kicks out at two. Ford uses the ropes as leverage to choke Statlander as the ref counts to five. Ford breaks the hold and then drops Kris as she gets up…

Back from the full break, Ford is using the ropes as leverage to choke Statlander…Ford breaks the hold as Kris sends her out of the ring with a shotgun dropkick…Kris sends Ford back in the ring and then powerbombs her…Statlander covers Ford, but she kicks out at two…Ford is the corner, as Statlander runs at her, but Ford moves out of the way. Ford knocks down Statlander and covers her for only a two count…Ford connects with a stunner on Statlander, but its not enough…Ford then connects with a poisonrana on Statlander and covers her for a near fall. Ford drags Statlander near the corner…Ford goes to the top and comes down with a moonsault, but Statlander rolls out of the way. Statlander picks up Ford and drops her with a Saturday Night Special to get the three count.

We’ll hear from Mercedes Mone’
After the match, Mercedes Mone’ hits as she comes out with a mic in hand…ho, ho, ho, ho 0 New York City…say hello to your C-E-O. Mone’s says she was planning on going to the Ritz in Boston…Mone’s says she is going to be nice and that at Worlds End, money changes everything and she will continue to be the champion even after Worlds End. Mone’ dances as the segment comes to and end.
We go to a video with Harley Cameron singing 12 days of AEW, running down the merchandise for sale.

Back from the break, the Costco Guys hit the ring, as Chris Jericho, Big Bill and Bryan Keith interrupt him. Jericho asks if the Costco Guys have permission to be here. Jericho asks the Costco Guys if he knows who they are…Big Justice calls Jericho a jackass….Jericho then asks if he is the biggest jackass in the city…Jericho says that he talks for everyone here, the fans don’t want them in the ring and there are not Costco’s in New York and he shops at Walgreens in Flushing and speaking of flushing they need to be flushed…Jericho says there is no time for stupid gimmicks with masks and scissor gimmicks…suddenly The Acclaimed music hits as Anthony Bowens comes out by himself…Bowens says he sees what Jericho is doing, he is trying to intimidate a man in a walking boot and a young kid…Big Bill then says when a man tries to silence another man he is afraid of the truth…Bowens says he doesn’t know what the means, but they are live on TNT in New York City….Bowens then challenges Jericho to come to the ring and get his butt beat by the scissor king…Jericho says not tonight and walks off…AJ says that they know Jericho is running scared tonight….Bowens, AJ and Big Justice to a scissor…
We go backstage with Lexy Nair talking to Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie…suddenly Toni Storm comes in an introduces herself to Deonna, Taya and Lexy…Taya makes a timeless reference, as Deonna then challenges Storm to a match for the Dynamite episode on Christmas Day.
The music of Shelton Benjamin hits next as he makes his way out with MVP and Bobby Lashley.
Up next is the music of Daniel Garcia as the TNT Champion makes his way out to the ring to a big ovation.
Continental Classic Blue League: TNT Champion Daniel Garcia vs. Shelton Benjamin
The bell rings as we get brawl between both men…Shelton hits Garcia, but he fires back with a big chop. Shelton picks up Garcia and back drops him. Shelton then picks up Garcia and slams him down…Shelton picks up Garcia and sends him to the corner. Garcia is down…Shelton grabs him and tosses him to the floor. As the action is on the floor, Shelton tosses Garcia into the ring apron and then the guardrail. Shelton then grabs Garcia and tosses him into the steel steps. Shelton rolls Garcia back in the ring. Shelton stomps on Garcia and as he gets up, Shelton drops Garcia with a big lariat. Garcia gets up and chops Shelton as he says bring it! Shelton then drops Garcia with lariat…
Picture-In-Picture: Shelton grabs Garcia and drags him to the ropes, using his foot as leverage on the ropes to choke out Garcia…Garcia drops to the mat. Shelton picks up Garcia and connects with a big right hand. Garcia drops to the mat as Shelton stomps on him. Shelton applies a chin lock on Garcia…he fights out of it, but is dropped by Shelton, who covers Garcia for only a two count. Shelton applies a head lock like hold on Garcia, as the ref checks on the TNT champion, who looks to be fading fast. Garcia then gets to his knees…
Back from PIP: Garcia runs the ropes and connects on Shelton with a big dropkick. Garcia goes for a lariat, but Shelton counters with a German Suplex…Shelton German Suplexes Garcia again. Both men are on the apron, as Shelton attempts to suplex Garcia off the apron, but he holds onto the ropes…Shelton hits the floor…Garcia leaps off the apron, but Shelton catches him in mid-air and then drops Garcia with a belly to belly suplex…Garcia recovers and then sets Shelton on chair and connects with big right hands. Garcia then runs and connects on Shelton with a big running dropkick, sending Shelton to the floor…Benjamin recovers and drops Garcia with a running lariat. Garcia is on the floor as Shelton hits the ring…the fans in the front row help Garcia to his feet…Garcia drops Shelton with a dragon screw threw the ropes…Shelton charges at Garcia with a running knee, but Garcia moves out of the way…Garcia locks on the dragon tamer on Benjamin as the ref checks on Shelton who almost taps out, but Shelton turns the move around on Garcia…he tries for a figure four, but instead locks in the STF on Garcia. Garcia crawls to the ropes and Shelton holds on…Benjamin grabs Garcia as he rolls up Shelton who kicks out at two….Shelton then knocks Garcia flat as Benjamin covers Garcia for only a two count. We get this is awesome chants from the fans…Garcia then rolls up Benjamin out of nowhere and gets the win!

After the match, from Behind, Bobby Lashley and MVP come out to take out Garcia…REACH FOR THE SKY BOY! Mark Briscoe comes out with a chair…security stops Briscoe…all of a sudden out of nowhere Swerve comes out form the crowd and takes out the security, Lashley and Benjamin….Prince Nana comes out with a whos house chant…the lockroom empties…Swerve grabs a mic and says he told Lashley he would get his hand on him before the end of 2024.

Back from the break, Mark Briscoe is already in the ring, as he music plays…The Beast Mortos’ music hits as he is out next.
Continental Classic Blue League Match: Mark Briscoe vs. The Beast Mortos
The bell rings as we are underway! Mark runs as The Beast, who comes back with big elbow shots…Marks and The Beast slug it out. Briscoe hits Mortos with his redneck kung fu…Mortos charges at Mark, who fires back with a double chop. As Mark runs the ropes, Mortos hits Briscoe…Mortos rolls up Briscoe, but he kicks out at two. Briscoe goes for some more redneck kung fu, but Mortos backs up.
Mortos takes down Briscoe with a big shoulder tackle as we get a beast chant…Mortos runs as Mark, who pulls down the ropes, sending Mortos to the floor…Mortos comes back in and takes down Briscoe…
Picture-In-Picture: Mark is down in the corner as Mortos applies a headlock on Briscoe, who gets to his feet, fighting back, but its not enough as Mortos takes him down. Mortos chops Briscoe, sending him to the mat. As Briscoe is down in the corner, Mortos puts the boots to his neck…Mortos drags Mark to the center of the ring and covers him for only a two count. Briscoe is up…

Back from the full break, Mortos grabs Mark and sends him to the corner. Mortos chops Briscoe…Mortos then runs at Mortos as Briscoe moves out of the way, sending Mortos to the floor. Briscoe then drop kicks Mortos through the ropes, followed by a tornado throught the ropes…Mark grabs a chair and sets it up in the ring…Mortos is up on the ring apron, as both men are now on the apron…Briscoe connects with a chop on Mortos and then drops him on the apron. Mortos hits the floor as Briscoe goes to the top rope and comes down with a sky twisting moonsault off the top rope, connecting on Mortos! Briscoe then goes back in the ring and uses the chair as a spring board to connect onto Mortos on the outside. Briscoe is up on the top and he comes down with a froggy bow, as Mortos moves….Mortos picks up Briscoe and drops him with a backbreaker and then a Samoan drop. Mortos covers Briscoe for only a two count!…Mark goes for a Jay Driller, but Mortos counters….Briscoe is up on the top rope and comes down with a big froggy bow on Mortos. Briscoe covers the Beast as he kicks out! Mortos sits up as Mark comes off the top with another big froggy bow, followed by the Jay Driller for the win.

We go to a vignette with Julia Hart pointed towards Jaymie Hayter, which the two will meet at Fight for the Fallen on January 1, 2025.
Backstage, Alex Marvez talks with Mariah May…May trash talks Thunder Rosa’s father and mother…Rosa comes in and attacks May…May makes it to ringside as Rosa follows. Rosa then attacks May again and sends her into the steel steps. Rosa grabs a chair at ringside and tries to hit May, who moves out of the way…Rosa goes after May again, as security breaks up the fight…Rosa grabs the Women’s World Title Belt, as Tony Schiavone reminds us at Worlds End, Rosa challenges May for the title in a Tijuana street fight.
-COMMERCIAL BREAK-
Back from the break, the music of Darby Allin hits as he he makes his way out to a big ovation. Up next, is the music for Claudio Castagnoli, as the he makes his way from the what looks to be the back inside parking lot area. He slowly walks out into crowd and looks around. Claudio goes over the barricade and Darby then leaps through the ropes, landing on Claudio! The action continues on the floor as Darby leaps on the back of Claudio. Castagnoli tosses Darby…Allin said Claudio into the staging area….Allin then climbs up on the top of the stage entrance and comes down on Claudio. We get a replay of this crazy move.

The bell finally sounds as the action is in the ring. Claudio picks up Allin and drops him on the mat. Claudio covers Allin, but he kicks out at two…Claudio picks up Allin and we get a giant swing! Claudio keeps swinging and swinging and swinging and then picks up speed before letting go, sending Allin to the floor…
Picture-In-Picture: The ref checks on Allin as Claudio goes tot he floor. Claudio picks up Darby and drops him on the barricade. Claudio picks up Darby and drops him again on the barricade. Claudio goes into the ring to break the hold and then goes back to the floor. Darby staggers around and Claudio sends him into the barricade again. Darby is still down on the floor, favoring his shoulder…Darby gets up and makes it back into the ring. Claudio follows and then stomps on Darby. Claudio connects with big uppercuts on Darby in the corner.
Back from PIP: Darby fires back, but its not enough…Claudio charges at Darby, but he pulls the ropes, sending Claudio to the floor. Allin then leaps through the ropes, taking out Claudio…Allin rolls Claudio back in the ring…Allin again sends Claudio to the floor. Allin then climbs to the ropes and lands on Claudio with a big coffin drop. Allin then climbs on the back of Claudio and has a sleeper hold on Claudio…Claudio backs up and drops Allin on the timekeepers table, which breaks in half. The ref begins the ten count, as Claudio is back in the ring. Allin is back in the ring, as he makes several pin attempts on Claudio, who kicks out of each…Claudio stomps on the ribs of Allin…Claudio then picks up Allin and tosses him to the floor. Claudio goes to the outside and picks up Allin, sending him back first into the ring posts. Claudio drags Allin and picks him up and knocks his head into the steel steps…the action is back in the ring as Claudio covers Allin for only a two count. Allin then rolls up Claudio for only a two count.
Allin is up on the second rope…Claudio grabs Allin, as both men go down. Allin is up as he climbs to the top. Alllin tries for a coffin drop as he doesn’t connect…Claudio powerbombs Allin and covers him for only a two count. Claudio gets frustrated at the ref, as Claudio thought it should have been three. Claudio picks up Allin and powerbombs him again. Claudio covers Allin, but he kicks out again. Claudio gets a chair as the ref takes the chair from Claudio and then puts the chair on the other side. As the ref has his back turned, Claudio pulls out brass knuckles and nails Allin with them. The ref turns around and makes the three count.
Winner by pinfall: Claudio Castagnoli (9 Points)
After the match, Claudio grabs chairs from ringside, but Will Ospreay hits the ring and grabs the brass knuckles, fending off Claudio as he leaves through the crowd…the show goes off the air.
Well that will do it for Collision for 2024. Next Saturday is Worlds End on pay-per-view. The next Collision will be live in two weeks from the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina (January 4, 2025).
Starting in 2025, I will be recapping Collision using Max, as it will air live on the streaming service at the same time it airs live on TNT – 8:00 pm ET.
