“WWE: Then. Now. Forever.”
The NXT intro takes us to a packed crowd at Center Stage as commentary hypes Johnny Gargano addressing the events of Takeover tonight, as well as the Tag Team Championship match between Undisputed Era and SAnitY.
And speaking of which, here come the champs now! Accompanied to the ring by Adam Cole, O’Reilly and Fish make their way to the ring and pose on the apron…when suddenly, SAnitY attack them from behind! Chaos ensues as the two stables collide, and officials come out to break things up to no avail. Undisputed Era head out of the ring and make their escape to the stage when William Regal comes to the stage, saying enough is enough. This all ends tonight, so all of SAnitY will take on all of Undisputed Era in a Six Man Tornado Tag Match!
Regal walks off as Undisputed express their anger at the announcement. Commentary hypes the new main event for tonight, reminding us of the rules: all six men will be in the ring at the same time! We go back to ringside as Heavy Machinery make their way to the ring for the (real) opening match of the night! Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli make their way out next as we look back at last month when these two teams went against each other, before the bell rings to get this match underway!
Tag Team Match
Heavy Machinery vs. Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss
Otis and Moss start things off as Moss gets Otis in a side headlock, only to be taken down with a shoulder tackle by Otis as Tucker gets a tag in. Double team by Heavy Machinery gets Tucker a two count before he locks in a side headlock of his own, but Moss gets out and hits a lariat before sending Tucker into the corner. Clubbing forearm by Moss, who tags in Tino as they double team on Tucker as the crowd chants “TINO SUCKS.” Tino shakes it off with a big dropkick on Tucker and an aggressive tag to Moss, who just stares at Tino before walking right into a rollup by Tucker for a nearfall. Moss gets back on the offense, taking an kick by Tucker before hitting a back elbow. Tag on the chest of Tino, who doesn’t look pleased as he gets into the ring to another “TINO SUCKS” chant. Tucker takes advantage of this, sending Tino to the corner before tagging in Otis who unloads some hard offense on Moss and Tino. Otis hits the Caterpillar on Tino, getting a nearfall before Moss breaks it up. Otis sends Moss out of the ring before being rolled up by Tino, who tries to use the ropes for leverage…but the ref sees it, and admonishes him for it! Otis tags in Tucker, who takes out Moss before getting in the ring to hit the assisted power slam with Otis to pick up the win!
Winners via pinfall: Heavy Machinery
What a way to kick off the show this week! We get chaos with SAnitY and Undisputed Era to set up a big main event, and a fun little tag match to rebuild Heavy Machinery's road to the tag titles. Interesting story to see a possible breakup of Tino and Moss, as well. #WWENXT

Heavy Machinery celebrates as we get replays from the match. Back at ringside, Tino and Moss seem to have some issues as Moss just walks away from Tino. Commentary ponders what will happen with these two before talking about Johnny Gargano addressing the events of Takeover, and that happens next!

Johnny Gargano addresses Takeover: Philadelphia
Back from break, Johnny Gargano heads to the ring to a big ovation from the crowd in Center Stage. Johnny has a microphone in his hand as the crowd chants “JOHNNY WRESTLING” to a smile from Gargano. He says it’s been a hell of a month. He went into Philly the most confident he’d ever been, he brought his family, it was gonna be his moment…he knew he was gonna walk out of Philly as NXT Champion. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and that sucks, but coming out here and getting that reaction from you guys is obviously–the crowd chants “JOHNNY WRESTLING”–it’s obvious that what I earned that night means more than a championship.
I earned your respect, I had the match of a lifetime, and in my lowest of lows, you guys made me realize that title or no title, I am Johnny Gargano…I am Johnny freakin’ Wrestling! Takeover: Philadelphia will be a night I’ll never forget, but you know what else I’ll never forget? A crutch shot to the back! I’ve bit my tongue about this, but Tommaso Ciampa I’m coming for you! Andrade Almas’s music hits as the NXT Champion heads to the ring with Zelina Vega with a smirk on his face. That smirk turns into a smile as Almas raises the title up high, and Vega says that Gargano shouldn’t even be out here. The champ should be out here, and not listening to Gargano complain.
You didn’t prove anything, other than the fact that you’re a loser. Ciampa had nothing to do with you losing, because Almas has beaten you again and again and again. You’re not Johnny Wrestling…you’re Johnny Loser. The crowd chants “WE WANT CANDICE” as Gargano says his favorite part of Takeover was earning the fans’ respect…but his second favorite part of Takeover was watching his wife hop the rail and beat the hell out of you! The crowd loves this, chanting for Candice as she comes to the ring and shoves Vega! Vega and Almas hightail it out of the ring and up to the ramp, where Vega wants to know what it’ll take to get rid of Johnny. Gargano demands another shot at the title, which Vega accepts on the behalf of Almas…but if Johnny loses, he leaves NXT for good! Gargano accepts this, throwing the mic down as his music hits. With that, we go to Shayna Baszler earlier today, talking about being the most feared woman in NXT in just a month. Don’t believe me, go ask Dakota Kai or Aliyah or anyone…even Ember Moon…when you get in the ring with me there’s only three options: tap, nap, or snap. When asked about what’s next after Takeover, Shayna says there won’t be a rematch because Ember is scared. She knows that if she gets in the ring with me, I’m taking her title. I already ripped her arm out its socket, she got off lucky. She won’t get in the ring with me, she’s not a real champion…you can tell her I said that. Commentary hypes the main event as SAnitY face Undisputed Era in a Six Man Tornado Tag Match, but up next Bianca Belair is in action!
Man, what a segment with Johnny Gargano. You can tell the NXT Universe is squarely behind him, even as he faces his biggest hurdle yet: defeat Andrade "Cien" Almas and win the NXT title, or leave NXT forever! Vega did a great job backing Johnny into this corner. #WWENXT

Commentary hypes Pete Dunne defending his United Kingdom Championship next week on NXT against Roderick Strong, and we go to Tyler Bate backstage as he talks about Strong earning a shot at the title…but don’t count Tyler out, because he’ll be in the hunt again soon! He then talks about winning Match of the Year in 2017, saying he looks forward to having some great matches in the coming year. Back at ringside, Bianca Belair makes her way to the ring as her opponent waits. The bell rings, and this match gets underway!
Bianca Belair vs. Jessix Hill
Hill extends a hand to Bianca, who accepts…but doesn’t let go, pulling Hill into an Argentine backbreaker rack, doing a set of squats before sending Hill down to the canvas! Belair sets Hill up for the Alley Oop, picking up the win!
Winner via pinfall: Bianca Belair
Yep, that match sure happened. Kudos to Bianca for making the Alley Oop relevant in 2018, Big Show in 2001 thanks you. https://t.co/dsyb1oBaiv #WWENXT

– AD: WWE 365 –
Back from break, commentary hypes Aleister Black returning next week on NXT! Ember Moon answers to Shayna via Twitter, issuing a challenge next week with the Women’s Championship on the line! Back at ringside, SAnitY make their way to the ring for the main event of the night. Out next is Undisputed Era, who stay at ringside until SAnitY goes after them as the bell rings!
Main Event: Six Man Tornado Tag Match
SAnitY vs. Undisputed Era
Undisputed have the advantage at first, but SAnitY immediately get the upper hand. Dain focuses on Kyle, throwing him out of the ring as Dain follows, beating up Fish as Wolfe focuses on Kyle at the announce table. In the ring is Young and Cole, as Cole hits a neckbreaker on Young. Cole takes his shirt off before going back to work on Young, as Dain hits a big boot on Fish to take us to break.
– AD: Mixed Match Challenge –
Back from break, SAnitY is wholly in control as Young goes looking for something under the ring…pulling out a table that he sets up as Wolfe takes a steel chair to Fish. Young goes for a suplex but Cole reverses, sending Young into the steel steps! Kyle turns things around at ringside, hitting a double knee on Wolfe who’s seated in the chair. In the ring now are Dain and Fish as Dain hits a stinger splash, and the other four men head out through back rooms. Back in the ring, Fish gets a bit of offense in before hitting a moonsault for a nearfall. We see Wolfe and Young taking care of Cole and Kyle, and back at ringside Fish has a kendo stick before sliding back in the ring. Fish takes a swing at Dain, who just rips the stick away and goes after Fish. Both men head to the stage, where Fish hits a forearm smash to no effect on Dain. Dain responds by sending Fish flying into the other four men out by ringside.
– AD: Wrestlemania –
Back from break, Dain unleashes some hard forearms on Cole in the ring. He continues the attack until Cole hits an enziguri, but Wolfe is in the ring and dodges an enziguri to hit a powerbomb for a nearfall. Kyle gets in the ring, as does Fish, and they double team Wolfe until Dain gets back in the ring. Dain hits a Michinoku Driver on Kyle, slamming him into Fish for a nearfall before Cole breaks it up with a super kick to the face! Cole with a nearfall before Young breaks that up with an elbow drop! All six men are down in the ring, but Young and Cole are back up as Young dodges a super kick before hitting one of his own, but is taken down by Kyle…who is hit by a German suplex by Wolfe, who gets hit with a Samoan drop by Fish, who walks into a discus lariat by Dain! Dain takes Cole off the apron with a big boot, leaving the ring to try to hit a rolling senton on Cole…who gets out of the way, sending Dain through the table! Back in the ring, all of Undisputed attack Wolfe looking for a triple team advantage…but Wolfe fights back, hitting Cole with a kick and driving away Fish and Kyle! Wolfe goes for a powerbomb but takes a super kick, and Fish and Kyle hit a Total Elimination on Wolfe! Fish gets a nearfall before Young comes in to break it up with a shot to the back using a kendo stick, before taking a super kick by Cole. Fish and Kyle set Young up for Cole to hit a hard neckbreaker for a nearfall! Undisputed can’t believe what’s happening as Dain gets back in the ring, taunting all three of his opponents before sending them away with ease. He unloads on them, hitting a fireman’s carry slam on Cole, a dropkick on Fish, and the Divide on Kyle. Dain goes back to Fish, hitting the Ulster Plantation for the win!
Winners via pinfall: SAnitY
Great main event this week! Loved the chaotic action involved with having all six men in the ring at once, and watching it spill into the "catacombs" of the theatre. Great job building Dain up especially in this match, having him take on the entire Undisputed Era to win! #WWENXT
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) February 8, 2018
Dain celebrates in the ring as we get replays from the match. Wolfe and Young are back in the ring, and SAnitY stands tall as the show comes to a close.
Overall, a fun episode of #WWENXT this week as we move away from Royal Rumble weekend and officially kick off the road to Takeover: New Orleans!
