Winner and STILL TNA X-Division Champion: DJ Z by pinfall (Roll-Through DDT)
Fun car crash of a match to give the show a hot start. Sometimes, shows need that mindless kind of a match to start the show on a high, intense pace and this was just that. Like both guys, DJ Z has been real impressive this year in the X-Division.
We see Lashley and EC3 earlier today arriving to the arena.
McKenzie Mitchell interviews Drew Galloway about his injury and why he is there. Drew talks about his career up to this point and his recent injury, saying he wanted to wrestle tonight, but management declined because he would be a liability. Drew asked if the match delayed, but it was also declined. Whoever wins tonight will not be seen as the TNA Grand Champion, definitely by me.

Winner of the Bound for Gold Gauntlet to earn a future TNA Title shot of his choosing: Eli Drake
Very simplistic battle royal/gauntlet match. Drake winning was the right call as he has had the most upside of the people in this match.
Jeremy Borash interviews Chef Robert Irvine about his wife, Gail Kim’s, TNA Hall of Fame induction ceremony tonight. Mike Bennett and Maria interrupt Irvine and tell him to leave. Irvine says that he has a premonition, tonight will be a very bad night for Bennett and Maria.

Good match from these two. MOOSE has shown a ton of improvement over the last year and Bennett is vastly underrated as a performer, good stuff.

Rex celebrates his title win after and shows respect to Edwards. Borash interviews Rex after about the title win. Rex puts over Edwards, saying he will give him a rematch. Tonight, he made history, but this is just the first part, stay tuned.
Pretty good match. Rex winning was not surprising, although the crowd was clearly behind Edwards. Really do the like the format of these TNA Grand Championship matches. Unfortunately though, it appears Rex is already suffering from “Andrade Cien Almas” syndrome with the Orlando crowd.

Very good main event. Lashley is on the best run of his career as the dominant heel champion, while EC3 put up a great effort in defeat. Best match on the show to me.
Overall, a good Bound for Glory as TNA still looks to see what its future entails. We’ll see what transpires with them this week at the TV Tapings and through the rest of 2016. But right now, looks like they got another round of support to keep them afloat. That’s all for me, thanks for following along with coverage! Later!
