UFC star Conor McGregor, who faces off with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 tomorrow night in Las Vegas, made headlines the last two weeks throwing insults at the WWE roster. This naturally started a war of words between McGregor and WWE talent on Twitter.
Former WWE star CM Punk, who makes his MMA debut at UFC 203 next month, told Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 this week that he was surprised so many WWE stars responded to McGregor adding, “They got worked. I mean, come on. Just stop. Just knock it off.”
Seth Rollins was asked on ESPN this week about McGregor and had this to say.
“It sounds to me like Conor is taking a page out of our game and trying to sell a couple extra Pay Per Views before Saturday. It’s just Conor being Conor. He’s doing his thing. If he was serious about it, I mean, the guy’s 5’6″, 145 or whatever he walks around at. I don’t know, but you can see me here. I’m a full size human being. So if he wants to come around and try to slap the face off me or whatever insult he’s got for the day, by all means come step in our ring and see what you got.”

Alfred Konuwa of Forbes.com also passed along an interview with current NXT Champion Samoa Joe who also addressed the recent comments by McGregor.
“I think Conor McGregor is a promoter, and I’m not here to promote any of his fights. If he were here in WWE, that would be a different story, but until that happens I don’t feel like I need to address it.”
