Mistico Arrives in Japan!
Earlier today CMLL superstar Mistico arrived in Japan for the New Japan “G1 Climax” Tour and took part in his first match. He teamed up with IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Tiger Mask IV to defeat fellow CMLL star Shigeo Okumura & New Japan star Tomohiro Ishii in the opening Tag Match of the card. His next match will be on Saturday when he faces his partner from today, Tiger Mask IV, for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship! Also, on the card CMLL’s Shigeo Okumura will team up with Karl Anderson & Giant Bernard to face Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Wataru Inoue, & Kazuchika Okada in a Trios (6-Man Tag) Match.
Jushin Thunder Liger Coming to CMLL in September!
Today Ovaciones revealed that Japanese legend and New Japan star Jushin Thunder Liger would be making his way to CMLL for a mini tour in September starting on 09/08 and ending on 09/28 (the Anniversary Show is rumored to be running on 09/25 so this is big). This is Liger’s first time in Mexico in quite some time. I can just imagine everyone’s mouth watering over a possible Mistico vs. Jushin Thunder Liger (maybe even for the IWGP Jr. Title?) at Arena Mexico.
New CMLL Star Set to Debut
A local INDY star from the Nuevo Laredo area in Mexico called Principe Diamante is set to make his debut with CMLL next Monday at Arena Puebla. The luchadore had several tryout matches for AAA earlier this year but was talked into trying out for CMLL in April and impressed Satanico enough to start training the INDY star further. Now he is set to debut under his new name, simply ‘Diamante’ (Diamond) now.

Super Crazy Makes It To The Finals of AJPW Jr. Tourney
Late last week Super Crazy competed in the Semifinals of the AJPW Junior League Tournament facing Minoru and was able to pull off the win and make it to the finals. In the other Semifinals Match Shuji Kondo defeated KAI. Later on in the Main Event Crazy faced off with Kondo in the Finals of the 2009 Junior League Tournament, but came up short in winning the Tournament. After an exciting, back and forth match Crazy fell to Kondo’s King Kong Lariat. Despite the loss this has been easily Super Crazy’s most successful tour of Japan that started with a Triple Threat victory over legends Great Sasuke and Ultimo Dragon back in July and continued with exciting wins over such stars as NOSAWA & Minoru and a Draw with Kaz Hayashi. The following are pictures from the Main Event (courtesy of Yahoo):

* NOTES *
– The arena was said to be VERY full for this show and was co-promoted by Super Luchas Magazine (who did a GREAT job of promoting the event in my opinion at least online).
– Damian was injured in his tag match (and had to eventually go to the hospital) so he wasn’t able to face Panama Jack later in the card so his partner Halloween replaced him.
– The X-LAW Jr. Title Match was a late added bonus as Crazy came straight from Japan to appear on the card. Interestingly enough the last man to hold the X-LAW Jr. Title was Super Crazy’s cousin Crazy Boy of AAA. Crazy got the win with a Crazy Bomb.
– In the Main Event Park put Sandman through a table for the win (courtesy of Super Luchas):
