WWE has confirmed reports on Wednesday night that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins suffered an injury at last night’s WWE live event in Dublin, Ireland.
Rollins tore his right ACL, MCL and medial meniscus during a main event match with Kane. He is expected to be out of action for around six to nine months as a result of the injury.
WWE has announced that a tournament will now take place at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV on 11/22 to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. ESPN’s Jonathan Coachman was the first to break the story on Twitter regarding Rollins’ injury.
