“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.
Roman Reigns’ music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a nice reception from the crowd. Replays are shown of last week’s Fatal Four Way Match, which was won by Reigns. Reigns is now the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns says he’s proud to be in Denver, Colorado. He’s also proud to stand here as the Number One Contender and the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He wants to talk about the current champion, Seth Rollins. Rollins is very good in the ring, but he’s also good at a couple of other things like brown nosing and kissing The Authority’s ass. Reigns doesn’t like people who pucker up or lie to his face. Reigns doesn’t like weasels, so he doesn’t like Rollins. Rollins has been lucky enough to stay champion since WrestleMania, but his luck is running out. There is not a force on earth that can stop him from beating Rollins and becoming the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. You can believe that!
Seth Rollins’ music hits, and he makes his way out to the stage laughing as the crowd boos him. Rollins asks if Reigns really wants him to believe that he’ll do something no one else has and take his WWE World Heavyweight Championship from him. Rollins laughs and says he doesn’t believe it for one second. Rollins wants to address something else. Rollins asks if Reigns really paid him a compliment. Reigns nods, so Rollins says he’ll return the favor. Reigns is very good as well. Rollins wouldn’t have recruited him for The Shield if he didn’t think Reigns was good. Look at everything Reigns has accomplished. At this year’s WrestleMania, Reigns stood toe-to-toe with the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. Reigns took everything he had to dish out and threw it back in his face. Reigns is good, but how did that night turn out for him? Rollins laughs and says he won that match. He cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, pinned Reigns, and became the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Overnight, he rewrote history. Rollins did something no one else had ever done in WWE history. When it’s all said and done, when it comes to the two of them, Reigns is good, but he’ll always be second best. These people will only remember Reigns as the guy that used to carry his bags.
Reigns tells Rollins to come down and see who the real man is. Rollins stares at him before saying he’s not afraid of him. Rollins begins to make his way down to the ring, but The Authority’s music hits. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way to the stage. Stephanie says if they’re going to do this, then they need to make it official. How many people want to see Roman Reigns face Seth Rollins? The crowd cheers in the affirmative. She then asks if they want to see the match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and they cheer louder. Stephanie says they’re going to get it, just not tonight. The crowd boos as she laughs. Triple H says he knew they’d fall for it. Triple H says they’re at altitude, but how high are the people? Stephanie asks if they really thought they were going to give away a match of that caliber here in Denver. Roman Reigns taking on the representative of The Authority and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in two weeks at the 29th anniversary of Survivor Series. Triple H says since Reigns seems to be itching for a fight, they should have a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match right here tonight where the team chosen and captained by the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the man Seth Rollins will face the team chosen and captained by Roman Reigns. Triple H warns Reigns to choose wisely because his survival might just depend on it.
