Batista on acting career, issues with his last WWE run

Stephen Parsons passed along this interview Chris Van Vliet conducted with Batista (Dave Bautista) discussing his new role in the new James Bond film “Spectre”, advice he got from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson about transitioning from WWE to acting and some of the issues he had with WWE during his last run.

“It was just butting heads with the company. I just constantly was butting heads, creatively. Which is something we talked about well beforehand.  I was promised things that weren’t delivered to me.  For one, I didn’t want to go back as a babyface.  I said, ‘It’s not going to work, man.’  They don’t want to see me as a babyface.  Nobody wants to see Batista as a babyface.  I’m the worst babyface ever!  But I’m a good heel.  I know how to be a heel.  I’m comfortable being a heel.  They tried to shove me down everybody’s throats.  It was just horrible.”

In regards to a possible return to WWE down the line, he stated he would only come back with WWE and sees wrestling anywhere else as a step down adding, “I would love to go back.  They are just very hard to deal with.”
