AJ Styles, who currently holds the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, was recently offered a multi-date deal from TNA that would include being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame this year and appearing at both the Slammiversary and Bound for Glory PPV events. According to a new report by Dave Meltzer, Styles turned down the offer.
A source close to Styles stated that he wants to maintain his brand as IWGP champion/member of The Bullet Club and that he couldn’t appear for promotions on behalf New Japan that doesn’t have current working relationships, with TNA being an example. Styles’ priorities at the moment were described as being with New Japan and Ring of Honor.
Styles took to Twitter to address the report confirming his priorities.
