WWE stars John Cena, Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler took part in a press conference today in Abu Dhabi to promote WWE’s live events there this weekend. Here are some highlights from the press conference:
Cena on his eye injury:
“WWE is being extra cautious. A scratched cornea is basically like a scratch on the surface of your eye. I’ve had this injury multiple times. My vision is blurry, it did not effect my driving around Yas Marina Circuit [Cena, Ziggler and Rollins drove cars around the F1 track after arriving in the country]. As always I like to be show up and go and I will be ready tonight and for all three nights.”
Ziggler on what his role for Wrestlemania 31 will be:
“We have to see how Fastlane goes. There are so many things up in the air right now. I threw out an idea to face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania because I thought he could have had a better showing at the Royal Rumble, as I thought I should have. We didn’t do our best, I’m rooting for him to get that main event at WrestleMania and also for Roman [Reigns] and see how it plays out. If there is an opening for someone I will be the first to challenge someone.”
Rollins on facing Brock Lesnar:
“I have watched Brock Lesnar for a really long time and I thought I knew how strong he was, I thought I knew how fast he was. Being in the ring with him, he is a completely different animal. He is a beast. They call him the Beast Incarnate and that is real. Whether you are in the Octagon with him trading fists, or in the ring trading German suplexes it is on another level. It was a pleasure and I am glad I got to be in the ring with him and i think I proved to the entire world I can hang with the guy.”
