Gerald Brisco and Jim Ross to conduct talent evaluation in Waterloo, Iowa.
WATERLOO, Iowa—For the fifth straight year, Gerald Brisco and Jim Ross will evaluate professional wrestlers during the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame weekend in Waterloo.
The event will be held at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 10. Last year’s event saw wrestlers from across the country get in the ring for an opportunity to reach the next level.
This is a chance to get in front of a current WWE talent scout. A wrestler from last year’s evaluation signed a developmental contract. Jim Ross, Gerry Brisco, and a special guest (past guests include Terry Funk, Mick Foley, and Danny Hodge) will speak to the group after the evaluation.
Each participant wrestles a full match with an introduction. A wrestler who shows promise may be asked to take part in the Hall of Fame Impact Pro Wrestling show that evening.
In addition to Gerry Brisco and Jim Ross, several independent wrestling promoters from throughout the country will be on hand for the evaluation. This is a great opportunity for any wrestler regardless of experience.
Registration for the talent evaluation is now open. Cost of the evaluation is $200.
All proceeds benefit the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum and the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Wrestlers should send a resume including a picture and the following information: height, age, name of trainer, and brief list of career highlights to Troy Peterson at WRESSHOW@YAHOO.COM. The evaluation is open to both men and women of all experience levels.
