Tickets for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 9 event on Sunday at the Tokyo Dome (being presented by Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling on PPV) is nearly sold out. The advance for the show was described as one of the best for the annual Tokyo Dome show in recent years as this show hasn’t been significantly papered at all. Regarding the live PPV broadcast and on demand options, The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Four Online has provided some details on how each can be accessed.
The Flipps app will be streaming Wrestle Kingdom 9 live starting at 2:00 a.m. Eastern (1:00 a.m. CT) on Sunday. An on demand option will also be made available. It was stressed that the live show and replay at 7:00 p.m. Eastern (6:00 CT) using the Flipps app is not compatible with Chromecast, XBOX Live or LG TVs. Streaming to these devices will work for the on demand option when it is later made available late Sunday.
DirecTV is only airing the show live in the 2:00 a.m. Eastern (1:00 a.m. CT) time slot so if you want to watch it later, you will need to DVR the live broadcast. DirecTV won’t be offering a replay until Thursday according to the guide listings.
Jason Namako will be providing live coverage on Wrestleview.com early Sunday morning starting at 2:00 a.m. Eastern (1:00 a.m. CT) and on Twitter via @wrestleview.
If you missed it, I had a chance to speak with Jeff Jarrett this week as part of “The Trey and Adam Show” podcast to discuss Wrestle Kingdom 9 this Sunday, plans for Global Force Wrestling going forward in 2015, Jim Ross calling the PPV and more.
