Former NWA Champion Adam Pearce announced his retirement from the ring after his match with Colt Cabana at last night’s Championship Wrestling from Hollywood TV Taping in Hollywood, California. Pearce was a former 5-time NWA Champion and this was his 9th and final match with Cabana in their long-standing rivalry. Pearce had been hinting at retirement for some time and it is believed that with Pearce doing a series of guest stints as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center over the last several months, as well as being a producer at last week’s NXT Takeover: R Evolution, that Pearce will be headed to WWE for a full-time position.
Pearce also posted the following on Twitter late last night:
“Respect the path by walking with passion. At the end, redefine and walk it again. THANK YOU for crossing mine.”
