Former WWE and current Lucha Underground commentator Matt Striker is expected to be the color commentator alongside Jim Ross for the New Japan Pro Wrestling WrestleKingdom 9 PPV on January 4 at the Tokyo Dome according to a report by Jason Powell.
TNA commentator Mike Tenay was said to be the first choice of Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling, but TNA would not allow Tenay to be a part of the show even after Jarrett offered to plug TNA now being on Destination America during the PPV broadcast.
New Japan and Global Force Wrestling have yet to confirm the report.
