ROH COO Joe Koff met earlier this week with New Japan President Naoki Sugabayashi according to a report by Dave Meltzer. The two sides met to straighten out issues with the upcoming New Japan Wrestlekingdom 9 PPV airing in the US at the Tokyo Dome on January 4. ROH contracts state that talent cannot work other promotion’s PPVs, so this straightened things out to allow ROH Tag Team Champions reDRagon to appear on the show, where they will be defending their newly-won IWGP Jr. Tag Titles in a 4-Way Match.
Koff & Sugabayashi also met to discuss more joint shows between the two promotions for 2015. ROH & New Japan first did joint shows back in May in Toronto & New York City. Announcements on joint shows between ROH & New Japan are said to be announced soon, with New York City, Toronto, Chicago and one other area as locations for the shows.
