During a one man show held in Liverpool following the WWE RAW taping, William Regal revealed that he recently underwent surgery when asked about not wrestling on the current European tour. Regal stated that he didn’t mind not wrestling and that he would do whatever the company wanted him to do. He also noted that he wouldn’t have been able to wrestle as he underwent level three neck fusion surgery three months ago. Regal didn’t talk any further about the surgery beyond that comment according to a live report by Stephen Lyon.
