WWE NXT performer Troy McClain (Alexander Jones) has been released by the company earlier today according to a report by Mike Johnson. McClain, a former NCAAA Division 1 athlete, was signed by WWE in 2013. McClain had only been used in enhancement roles on NXT TV in his tenure with WWE, but began using a motivational speaker persona on NXT house shows in recent months. McClain joins Kendall Skye as NXT performers released by WWE today (9/19).
