Bound for Glory PPV in Japan, update on TNA TV tapings

TNA’s Bound for Glory PPV on 10/12 from Tokyo, Japan at Korakuen Hall will be airing on a tape delay between 13 to 14 hours in the normal 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 Central) Sunday night time slot. TNA at one point had plans to run an Impact Wrestling taping in either Osaka or Gifu, but those plans were canceled when the company opted to tape more television in the United States. The interesting thing about the upcoming planned television tapings is that it will take them through the end of November meaning shows scheduled to air after Bound for Glory on Spike TV will be taped weeks ahead of time.

Talent are also continuing to be told to not worry about the current television situation going forward and that TV for 2015 “is all set” in that they will have an outlet. As reported earlier, the only house show events scheduled going forward is for the UK tour in January 2015. All events for the rest of 2014 are for One Night Only PPV tapings, Impact Wrestling and Bound for Glory in October. Talent working on per-event deals were described as being in a panic and worrying about incoming going forward with the uncertainty of television beyond 2014 and live events on the current schedule.

In what is a slight change, TNA contracted talent are now allowed to appear on events released on DVD based on some of the new contracts in place at the moment. They still aren’t allowed to make appearances for promotions on national TV or PPV.
