Impact opens up with highlights from “Hardcore Justice” focusing on the controversy over the #1 Contenders Match. Kurt Angle appears in the balcony and says that it his job to put on the best show that he possibly can for all of the fans. He says that he doesn’t believe that he will disappoint tonight because there will be a “Grudge Match” between EC3 and Rhino and in the Main Event it will be the Hardyz vs. The Wolves vs. 3D! He says that he had planned to congratulate the #1 Contenders tonight but due to the photo finish last week we did not have a clear winner. Angle says that he is going to sit down with Roode and Young tonight and he will decide who the #1 Contender will be and tell the fans tonight.
Lashley comes out with MVP and Kenny King to interrupt Angle. MVP says that he has lost so much respect for Angle because of his pandering for all of the scumbags in NYC. MVP asks how the whole “boss thing” is working out for him and says it isn’t as easy as he thought is it. He says that any nerd with a smart phone that types with 180 characters thinks he can book a match. MVP tells Angle to enjoy worrying about the controversy with the “guys from Canada” while he worries about the “King of the Night and the Destroyer.” MVP calls NYC “New York Shitty” and mocks the NYC fans. He says that he sees a bunch of “sissified savages with no class and even less dignity.” He says all they can do is ACT tough but if he called NYPD to come out and hand out choke holds they would all get “flatter than Miley Cyrus’ ass” on the floor. MVP says the King of NYC is not Frank White or Biggie Smalls, it is Lashley!
Tommy Dreamer walks out and gets in the ring as MVP and company look on surprised. A big “Tommy Dreamer” chant breaks out and Dreamer says that he has been friends with MVP for a long time. He calls MVP one of the most underrated wrestlers the business has ever seen but he has a problem with his mouth. Dreamer calls Kenny King a sellout because of the way he calls himself “the king of Vegas” and reminds King that he is really from Queens, NY. Dreamer says King is better than the way he has been acting with MVP. Dreamer says that Lashley has finally lived up to the potential that everyone always said he had and he has become one of the most dominant World Champions any company has ever seen through his hard work, sacrifices, and great matches. Dreamer says he doesn’t need to try to come out and get “cheap heat” before King blasts him!
King beats on Dreamer and throws him out to the floor. MVP mockingly asks if Dreamer is still around and then he starts to trash NYC again but Dreamer uses a kendo stick to trip King and pull him out to the floor. King runs away and Dreamer gets in the ring with MVP and Lashley. Angle tells MVP to shut his mouth and that if Lashley thinks he is the King of NYC than he can prove it against NYC’s own Tommy Dreamer tonight in a NYC Street Fight! MVP freaks out and says Lashley is a wrestler not a Street Fighter. Angle calls MVP and Lashley cowards so MVP accepts the challenge and as King distracts Dreamer, Lashley attacks him!

Backstage Kurt Angle says that he talked with Roode and EY and they have all agreed to how they will settle the controversy which will be announced next.
—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-
Backstage Rhino says that money can’t buy happiness but one thing it did buy EC3 is a one way ticket to hell. Rhino says what EC3 did to him last week he can’t forget and when he beats the hell out of EC3 he will leave one last breath in his lungs so he can rip him apart with a GORE…GORE…GORE!
Bobby Roode comes out to the ring and he says that last week he was involved in a Steel Cage Match for a shot at the World Title. Roode says at the end there was no clear winner and he just left Angle’s office. He says that Angle has decided that the only fair thing to do is have another #1 Contenders Match next week. This time it will be Roode vs. EY with the winner getting an opportunity at Lashley’s World Title.
EY comes out to the ring and Roode calls EY crazy. Roode says that he and EY have a lot of history together and name drops Team Canada and says they held the Tag Team Titles together. He says that they have gone into battle together and against each other as well including last week. Roode says that battle could have went either way and now they go into battle against each other yet again next week. Roode says they are doing it for the right reason, to get a shot at the World Title which is why they got into the business. Roode says he knows that he will have to bring his A-game if he wants another shot at the World Title and he is okay with that because there is not a man on the planet he respects more than EY. He says it will be an honor to EARN a shot at the World Title against EY.
EY says he appreciates the respect shown by Roode and there is a lot of people that said he would never win the World Title and would never defend it against guys like Roode, but he did it all for the fans. He says that fate has a funny way of working itself out and that cage match could have worked itself out 100 different ways but as fate has it, it will lead to EY vs. Roode for the #1 Contendership. EY says he has been asked 100 times who the best wrestler in the business today is and his answer every time is Bobby Roode. EY says he means every word of that and in his opinion Roode is the best in the world, and that will be his answer as long as Roode is in the business. EY says that with that said he is every bit as good as Roode and he says that he will be better than Roode next week and he would not rather share the ring with anyone else in the business. Roode says that there is only one thing left to do and that is tear the roof off the building next week!
Bro-Mans are talking about some online dating stuff when JB walks up and Zema says Robbie and Jessie are having a competition to see who can get the most dates. Zema says that they tied but since Robbie “matched” with a French bulldog and a parrot he may not win. Both says that they “matched” with a TNA Knockout and they both say that they are going to go out with the Knockout. That was pointless.

Rhino follows up with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Rhino sets up for the Gore again and again Spud holds onto the legs of Rhino. Rhino pulls Spud up to the apron and knocks the hell out of him. Sanada lifts Aries up to the top rope and climbs up with him but Aries boxes the ears of Sanada knocking him down to the mat. Aries goes for the 450 but Storm shakes the ropes to crotch him as Sanada distracted the referee. The ref sees Storm and as he turns around Sanada spits green mist in Aries’ face! Sanada hits a disgusting Running Superkick to a kneeling Aries! 1…2…3!

A vignette hyping up new TNA signee Chris Melendez who is an army vet who lost his leg in combat in Iraq is shown. He uses a prosthetic leg to get around now and trained to be a professional wrestler despite the loss of leg. Clips of him training at Team 3D’s Wrestling Academy are shown. He is shown looking at his Purple Heart while standing in front of the TNA logo. He is also shown working with other wounded veterans.
Kurt Angle introduces Chris Melendez to the crowd while Team 3D stands in the ring as well. Melendez comes out wearing his military uniform. Melendez hugs his trainers, Team 3D, and shakes the hand of Angle. Mr. Anderson is also in the ring. A massive “USA” chant breaks out and Angle says that he knows about sacrifice, but what he did pales in comparison to what Melendez did. He says that Melendez fought and was willing to die for this country and a “thank you Chris” chant starts. Angle says that Melendez is a survivor and an amputee and he is also now a member of the TNA family.
Mr. Anderson says that being former military himself his favorite charity is the Wounded Warrior Project and there are about 200 members of Wounded Warrior in attendance tonight. He says that his buddy from Wounded Warrior called him awhile back about a guy that was a wounded veteran that wanted to be a wrestler. The guy sent Anderson videos of Melendez and he was impressed with what he saw. Anderson said he was asked to train Melendez further but he said that he didn’t have a ring to do this but he knew two guys that are the best trainers in the business today that did. Anderson says he sent Melendez to Team 3D and their 3D Wrestling Academy.
Bully says after hearing Melendez’s story he realized that Melendez’s two dreams in life were to serve on the frontlines for his country and to be a pro wrestler. Bully says that they trained Melendez for free and felt that after the sacrifices Melendez made for their country it was the least they could do in return for him. Bully says he doesn’t want to sound sappy but he can tell everyone that this is one of the produced moments of he and Devon’s career. Devon tells all the fans to welcome Melendez to the TNA roster and 3D raises his arms as the fans cheer.
