The Final Impact

If fast paced, exciting wrestling is what you enjoy the most then I say go out of your way to see this episode of Impact. The wrestling action was top notch and just flat out fun.
All the promos in the ring were solid as well. The backstage stuff is just really not my thing but I thought Roode and MVP’s promos were excellent as was the drama between Ray and Rhino. They just went the simple route of jealousy for why Rhino turned on Bully along with him being paid off. The taped vignette of MVP and his boys was great however. I did really love it and I like the thought of the “Franchise Players” being a good name for that group. MVP as the mouthpiece for Bobby Lashley is definitely a good thing.
The Tag Match was terrific, Bram and Magnus are gelling well together quickly and I swear The Wolves may be the most fluid in terms of teamwork in the ring that I’ve ever seen. That finish was just superb, absolutely terrific.
The X-Division Match between Sanada and Aries may be the best match TNA has had on TV this year. Absolutely awesome stuff from both guys and they both looked great down the stretch kicking out of each others finishers, but they didn’t over do it with the finisher kick outs. The stuff with Sanada and Storm just seems kind of odd but I’m interested to see how this will play out.
The Knockouts match was actually an almost X-Division styled spotfest. It was all about the spots but they all hit some awesome spots in the match with all four girls looking good in the match.
Battle Royals really aren’t my thing but it was still a nice brawl and the fans digged it, especially Hardy returning from that stupid Willow gimmick. Thankfully that thing is gone and hopefully it is buried, Jeff Hardy needs to be Jeff Hardy. I am thoroughly looking forward to Hardy vs. Lashley next week.
– Segment/Promo of the Night: Bully/Rhino, Roode/MVP
– Match of the Night: Aries vs. Sanada (****)
– Overall Grade: A
I hope everyone has a terrific fourth of July and as always Roll Tide!
