The Final Impact

It was MVP overload again this week, I understood last week wanting to start to establish the group as a dominant group, but it will get old really, really quick if it is like this every week. Regardless the opening segment was good and the six man tag was really fun. They told a good story with the heels going after primarily Davey’s injured ribs and both teams worked well together.
Tigre Uno is officially lost in the shuffle. TNA couldn’t care less about the X-Division at this point and really if this is what you’re going to do then don’t even have the damn division. No one loves the X-Division and X-Division wrestlers more than me, but TNA is doing nothing but shit on them. The only X-Division guy that gets any focus on them is freaking Sanada, who isn’t even signed to TNA and the only reason they are putting focus on him is to keep Great Muta happy. How are we supposed to take whoever the X-Division Champion credible at Destination X? Tigre just had a Best of 3 Series with Sanada that went back and forth just to get squashed in under 3 minutes by a guy that hasn’t been in TNA for two months. This is just ridiculous.
Otherwise I like Bram so far, he looks decent in the ring but we need to see what he can do with more time. I still don’t know if we are heading towards a tag team with he and Magnus or a feud. They’re teasing it both ways.
The BroMans and Gunner/Anderson was okay for as long as it lasted but The Menagerie stuff was ridiculous again. At least a feud with Bro-Mans should make for some entertaining moments with the Bro-Mans.
The Knockouts tag match was fun and they played up Brittany trying to show off the whole time. I actually liked the stuff with her and Madison afterward as well, this seems a lot like the crazy Mickie James angle from WWE when she was obsessed with Trish Stratus. I loved that angle then and this could be good too if Brittany can pull off the crazy, obsessed psycho chick well enough. Angelina and Velvet are great “bitches” so they played well into it too. By that I mean they act like bitches, not calling females bitches (I could see the complaints coming from a mile away).
The Main Event went exactly the way I figured it would except the fact that Samoa Joe finally made his return. That was a great refreshing moment and it will be fun to see how they insert Samoa Joe into this whole thing. The fans seemed happy as well. As a whole the show is just kind of mediocre right now, there is some fun stuff and some not so good stuff happening each week. More time to the matches would help for me definitely but I am enjoying most of the feuds for now other than a couple.
– Segment/Promo of the Night: Samoa Joe’s return
– Match of the Night: Six Man Tag (***)
