Although the injury angle on this past week’s 2/24 WWE RAW with John Cena was planned, Cena did end up suffering a groin tear according to a report by Mike Johnson. Cena was back in the ring at a live event on Friday in North Charleson headlining with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. He reportedly apologized to the crowd after the match for not giving them the performance he wanted to give. WWE was said to have wanted to pull Cena from weekend live events and he refused.
