For 6 months Ric Flair has been booked to appear in London doing a Q&A and then the following night appear live for Revolution Pro Wrestling. I was one of the first people to buy tickets and from day one, no disrespect to Naitch, I was worried about if he would turn up.
A week ago I read that Flair had signed a WWE contract in which WWE has the rights to override any outside project Flair has and will commit to. This again worried me as me and the Mrs. have hotels/train tickets booked.
Then last night, the promoters confirmed it, RIC FLAIR IS NOT COMING. Noting personnel reasons, the event is literally 2 weeks before WrestleMania 30, it is on March 14th.
The good news is Flair has been replaced by STING… A night with Sting will be real fun and I don’t think Steve Borden has done anything like this before. It will be a real treat.
But 2 weeks before WrestleMania 30 you do have to ask, what does this mean about Flair’s status and plans for being used by WWE, and you also have to ask, what does it mean about Sting’s if he is willing to accept this type of booking this close to the big daddy of them all!
